Description

The world Gabbeh translates to unfinished or unclipped, for these rugs weavers leave the pile long. Our production of Gabbehs also includes Natural Gabbeh in which we use un-dyed wool, the colours are ivory, beige and brown. A recent development has been the introduction of our "Retro Gabbeh". These are densely-woven in bright but subtle colour combinations and look wonderful in modern, minimalist or Art Deco period homes.

About Us

AMU WEAVERS, is a well known and established, family owned business that has been producing hand-knotted rugs and Kilims for the past three generations. The rugs produced are influenced by old Afghan Balouch, Bokhara, Samarqand, Old Uzbek, Suzani, Sultanabad, Zieglers, Khotans, Indian Agras, Moguls and many Ottoman textiles.
